Why Todi and Boys Ltd
About us
Todi & Boys Ltd was established in 2013 by our director and owner, Todi Kurti, who has 30+ years’ experience of hand crafting Georgian sash windows and doors. Over the years, he’s built a team that replicates his way of working; producing bespoke windows and doors that are as robust as they are aesthetically-pleasing.
Today, we’re proud to have a team that can turn their hand to all bespoke window and door projects, with the same attention to detail and quality as Todi.

1967
Is when Todi, the founder of Todi & Boys, was born in a small mountain town in The Balkans known for its spring water river.
Surrounded by forests, wood played a big part in Todi’s life when he was growing up. He loved working with the local craftsman and graduated top of his class at carpentry college!
1997
With dreams of learning more about his craft, Todi risked it all by emigrating to London – the epicentre of fine joinery – with his wife, two boys and just £2.94 left in his pocket.
1998
He spent long hours working hard to learn British-style joinery from two Irish joiners, John and Neil, in Hammersmith.
2002
After mastering traditional British woodworking, Todi took the plunge by starting his own workshop. The mission? Craft the best windows in London.
So, in a small arch in Putney Bridge Road, with the District Line trains rumbling overhead, Todi worked hard and quickly established a reputation for quality joinery.
2006
By listening to his customers, Todi refined his products and service. The business grew quickly, and a few years later, he had clients all over South West London, expanded from one arch to four, and grew the team in the process.
2012
Driven by the same passion for woodworking, his two sons soon joined the team. Taking everything Todi had taught them to heart, the boys dedicated themselves to researching new, innovative ways to elevate their craftsmanship, constantly finding methods to improve both the products and the exceptional customer service the family was so well known for.
2013
With 18 employees crammed into just four arches, Todi decided to move to our current workshop in Chessington.
2018
We quickly made ourselves at home in the new workshop and set about transforming the space. With the much-needed extra room, we were finally able to invest in state-of-the-art joinery machinery, giving us the perfect tools to push the boundaries of our craftsmanship and elevate the quality of our products even further.
2021
Mid-pandemic, our landlord delivered devastating news. Venture capital firms were buying up all the local buildings, and ours was next. Never one to back down, Todi shook the landlord’s hand, told him he couldn’t afford to buy the building yet, but promised he would find a way. True to his word, and against all odds, he managed to purchase our building, permanently securing our home here in South West London.
2026
More than 40 years later, Todi continues to live out his passion – woodworking – alongside his three sons and a team of more than 30 employees. He can still be found covered in sawdust and paint in the workshop and makes regular visits to his installation teams so that he can ask his clients that all-important question – ‘What do you think?’
