In Surbiton, we had the privilege of working on a historic property on The Drive, which had been divided into five separate flats. The developer, with a deep personal connection to the building’s past, approached us with a heartfelt vision: to reunite the property and restore it to its original splendour while incorporating modern comforts.
Restoration with a Personal Touch
The developer’s passion for this project was infectious. She envisioned a revival of the property’s beauty that honoured its history while introducing contemporary touches. Working within strict conservation area guidelines, which required meticulous historical accuracy for every window and door, we collaborated closely to ensure her vision came to life.

These included advanced double glazing and leaded fanlights, which we matched precisely to the original lead colours and sizes.
Our attention to detail shone in the intricate mouldings of the bay windows and the lead patterns in the stairwell’s bay window. Every aspect was created to faithfully replicate historic designs while offering modern durability. The developer remained hands-on throughout, ensuring the finished product was everything she had imagined.
